Nerve

Er, uhm, I just realised, there isn't a time that rhymes with 'revisited'. Frell. Anyway, as Trent Reznor once said, "I know it's not the right thing, and I know it's not the good thing, but kinda I want to!"

In other words, I've had 2 dos equis, and have decided to remark on a few thoughts I had while re-watching Nerve. I mean, pfft, I have seen it before, but not for a while. So, technically, this isn't a Spastic Review, but what the hey, right? Anyway, it'll be shorter than your average review. I'm just gonna note some stuff.

This revisitation is brought to you by Industrial Strength Froonium. Behold, the power of Froonium!

-Heh. I love the way Aeryn tries to deck Crichton at the beginning. That always makes me smile. And it's a shippy bit, too.

-I always think, right when Crichton's saying 'IF you're going to help' to Chiana, that it looks like he's gonna kiss her. Even though I've seen the ep a whole buttload of times, I still freak at that point. I guess I'm being jealous for Aeryn, hehe.

-Okay, I finally spotted where you see Gilina in the Officer's Lounge. Took me long enough. And there's that one guy in the bar that looks suspiciously like Ben Kenobi... you see him when Scorpy shows up.

-I have to remark... I do think the makeup has gotten progressively better into the second season. Honestly. Scorpy looks more grotesque now.

-I noticed, for the first time tonight, that when Scorpy tells his men to aprehend Crichton, even though he draws his gun, he *doesn't* shoot at them - he tries to take em down in hand to hand combat (and fails miserably). Whoa, the difference between Second season Crichton and First season never seemed so noticeable to me before.

-Ouch. So much OCB this ep I was squirming. Not to mention, that ending image has to be THE single most unflattering image we've ever seen of Crichton...

-Oh, and, that music playing when Javio propositions Chiana reminds me of Michael Jackson's Thriller. Don't ask.

-Oh, yeah. I forgot, STARK! I love that. This is the first time we see Stark, and he is nuttier than a fruitcake. Man, I love a man with mental problems. And, the origin of "My side, your side!"

-Hey, if I'm not mistaken, the PK on the right behind Crais is Braca. But, uh, what's up with the yarmulke? Ev'rybody! "Put on your yarmulke, it's time for Hannukah..."

-The fuzzy fade-in/fade-out effect really messed with my already messed up eyes.

-I find it, somehow, fascinating to see Chiana playing PK tech. I mean, the completely different way she walks and carries herself... is so... *un*-Chiana. And, may I say - the PK tech uniforms have to be THE most fugliest uniforms this side of Erp.

-*snort* Need I say it? FROONIUM!

-K, Nerve is, was, and always will be a good ep... There's no contesting that here. It's always intriguing to take an old ep and watch it, just to see how far the chars have come. I mean, back in Nerve, D'Argo still referred to Aeryn as a PK. I find it... well, to be repetitive, intriguing.

Well, I'm off, to go bug people in #farscape, as well as to run around the house, trying to slide along the wood floors in my socks while shouting "MOOOOOOOOOOOJO JOJO!" and scaring the dogs. Boy, I love Friday nights. And remember, folks and folkesses, only 5 more weeks to go before a new ep! BOOOGITY!

LBT, off to snurch some more dos equis.
